I am passionate about approaching health and fitness through a holistic perspective. You cannot only focus on reaching a specific number on the scale, or looking skinny. This simply means that I believe each area of your life, affects your personal health and fitness goals. To create a lasting healthy and happy lifestyle, you need to go deeper.
- Does stress from work cause you to overeat?
- Does your lack of proper nutrition cause you to crave that cookie?
- Do you wake up unmotivated and anxious because of poor sleep?
By taking a step back with my clients, we are able to see the bigger picture.
True healing and strength comes
from nourishing the body, mind and spirit.
Together we will look at each area of your life, and begin to align them with your goals. We will work on your nutrition, lifestyle, exercise and also things like relationships, mindset and goal setting. As we work together, you will develop a deeper understanding of which food and lifestyle choices are best for you. We will be implementing habits that will empower you and design a lasting lifestyle.
By sweating daily and creating a life of movement and nourishment, this empowers my clients into their transformation of becoming confident and courageous women.
I received my training as a holistic health coach from the Institute of Integrated Nutrition. Here is where I studied over one hundred dietary theories, and studied a variety of practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities..
I also graduated from National Personal Training Institute. NPTI is one of the few schools that offers 500 & 600 hour state- approved diploma programs in Personal Fitness training. Here I received an innovative and comprehensive personal training education. The program includes 6 months of hands-on experience in a fitness facility with extensive education over topics such as client evaluation and exercise program design, detailed anatomy and physiology and proper nutrition for fitness, performance and general health. I have also received my certification as a personal trainer through NASM.
Using these skills and knowledge, plus my own personal experience, I work with each of my clients to design a lifestyle with habits that are lasting and empowering.
